Parents and godparents are expected to attend a session with one of the parish priests prior to the Baptism to become familiar with the commitments and responsibilities for nurturing children in the Catholic faith.
Adults seeking to enter the Church through Baptism generally receive the Sacrament during the Great Vigil of Easter. They normally prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation by participating in the parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process.
