Dan Macalinao joined the Paulist Fathers novitiate on August 25, 2018.
He made his first promise to their missionary society on September 6, 2019.
A native of the Philippines, Dan earned his undergraduate degree in 2008 from Wesleyan University where he studied molecular biology and biochemistry.
In May, 2018, he received a doctorate in cancer biology from the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Science in New York City.
Dan met the Paulist Fathers at their mother church, the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in New York City, where he was a leader for several years in the parish's vibrant music ministry.
