Ordained in 1978, Monsignor Salvatore Criscuolo has served as associate pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace, of Assumption Parish, and of Our Lady of Sorrows, Takoma Park. He became police and fire chaplain in 1986 and has continued in that role since then. He was named a prelate of honor by Pope John Paul II, with the title of monsignor, in 2000. In 2001, he began residing at St. Patrick's, and in 2004 was named pastor by Theodore Cardinal McCarrick. He retired on January 31, 2019 and is in residence at Saint Patrick.
